High Mileage Fits
 

Hello Everyone,

Just looking for some of the highest mileage Fits out there. This is mostly just for fun but also useful because we can see what parts break first / potential weaknesses in our cars.

I'll start with mine. I am about to roll over 94,000. I haven't had any problems yet really. I had to resurface the brake rotors at about 70,000 and I can tell I will have to do it again, but oh well. I also have some minor issues with the weak paint and various door dings. Other then that I've had only routine maintenance. The Fit has still been a great car and is fun to drive!

07 Honda Fit Sport Auto NHBP

94,000 miles might not sound high, but last year I sold my 1994 Sentra SE-R with just 81,000 miles on it. It's nice to hear you've run into no major problems anyhow, since your Fit is about 60,000 miles ahead of mine. What you said about your brake rotor, reminds me how I'd like to get the rotor on my motorcycle resurfaced too.

I'm about to hit 55,000 and I thought that was a lot for an 07. Cant believe your on 94,000 already!

I haven't done much maintenance besides replacing the rotors with brembo drilled rotors because the warping the stock ones kept getting. Oil changes and filter changes is all i've really done. My brake fluid is looking pretty grimy I think I'm going to bring it somewhere to get it changes. Seems like a difficult task. Also when I was changing my brakes looks like my passanger side bleeder valve cap is gone. No big deal but it's gone :\ When I bring my car in for warranty repair I will have to ask them to put another one on.

I'm just under 60k mi. I haven't had any real issues yet. I did have my car on a lift earlier this month and saw that my front LCA bushings look cracked. Kinda weird for only 60k and only daily driving duties. The car feels fine though so I'm not worried about it yet.

I think I may need a valve adjustment as I think I hear them when putting a load on the engine at low RPM. I've heard of some guys doing valve adjustments pretty early on our cars so I guess it's normal.

2007 FIT SPORT about to turn 79,000 this coming week. Installed new rotors and brakes in April 2010. Changed coil packs and spark plugs today. Commute 65-miles daily round trip for work.

Did you need to change the coils and sparks or did you just do it as PM?

09 with 69k on it....

Wifes 08' Sport, 105,000.

mine has 111,200 miles

my fit a 2007 model sport has 110,000 on it but mine had a strange quirk (worse than that but what a term) Radiator cap blew off while going down the road and lost the head from over heat. it was covered under warranty but took forever to get back. I did mods to it. A K and N air cleaner element removed the resonator muffler and installed a spiral flow muffler at the rear. installed E3 spark plugs as well. improved millage by 4 mpg's average.

121,000 on a 2007.

Other than front wheel bearings and the COP replacement, no major repairs. The two repairs I had to make appear to be relatively common for this car.

07 wit 103k and going strong

78k and it needs to last 5 years from now without angering me, let's say to 150k.

Maintenance done:
Trans fluid change x2
Trans filter
Plugs
Air filter
Serp belt
Tires

...SUCH a nice menu compared to what my Cadillac STS needed: head gasket, trans solenoid, LED taillight, HID headlight, heated seat, water pump, on and on...

It's so refreshing to drive a simple machine.

7,586 miles on my 2011 fit.
I will get a mugen radiator cap and mudflaps to prevent some dings. Come spring there will be an hks turbo under the hood set at 5psi. to keep it reliable still.

Also going to invest in some coils as it seems as a common problem for our cars...

07-141,000

'07, auto - 165,000.

Other than regular maintenance (oil, coolant, ATF, brake pads, 1 set of spark plugs), the only unexpected engine failure was the coil packs. I didn't bother trying to figure out which one. I got ~140k out of my original coil packs, so I was fine with the $70 to replace all four.

I lost a rear door locking mechanism (got to fix that), and a speaker here and there.

Otherwise, this car has been awesome. It's my wife's car so I like that she has a reliable ride.

Without checking , I'd say we're at 87,500 in the 08 Sport. Nothing majorly wrong, just normal stuff. Tires, fluids, filters, valve adjustment.... only thing out of the ordinary is that I had to add water to the battery.
