My Fit was an innocent bystander

Came out from work today to find the empty lot I park and have to walk a mile and half to get to inorder to keep my car safe - had a tree cutting truck parked on it. As I got closer I could see they had cut the limbs out of one of the trees. I started thinking _ _ _ _! When I got to the car this is what I saw:

The enitre car is covered with the same stuff where they chopped up the tree in their machine. I left a nasty note on their truck telling them I was sending a letter to their company and the hospital that owns the lot. I had planned to go shopping after work instead I was at the car wash hosing this crap off my car.

Hope it all came off.

This same shit happened at my work, but with tree sap. The landlord of our building covered the cost for a bodyshop to properly remove the sap. Hopefully you get that kind of cooperation too.

Oh man that stinks. I know a few people that parked in sprinklers (before they were on) with hard water and then it baked dry in the sun all day. Had to go to a body shop to get it removed.

Sorry, that stinks!

that doesn't really require a body shop to remove. one can use a claybar or just plain soap, water, and polish.

Wow. That is truly 'teh suck'.

Give 'em hell, Cat!

I think your letter is a good start. You can always move on to small claims if they're uncooperative.

Cat, when I saw what the first part of your post said my pulse rate just about doubled... I'm happy no permanent damage was done and don't be scaring me like that anymore.

That sucks. You mean that out of the entire lot, they chose to park next to you? Or was it like, full earlier, and then they just happened to be there too? I hope you got all of it out.

Man that's real nasty.. tree juices are a PAIN in the ass :(

whaap 01-19-2011 10:18 AM

In all fairness what did you expect them to do, spend the day searching for owners of cars telling them to move or go to the job site and get done what they were paid to do? It's unfortunate but things like this happen.
