keyless on the base-model '07 (SWA-306 vs SLN-305)

Reading a long thread in the 2nd-Gen forum, it looks like people wanting to add Keyless Entry to their base-model Fits are buying the 35111-SWA-306 key-with-buttons, and sawing-off the key; or else buying a 72147-SWA-A01 fob, and drilling a hole for keyring. These appear to cost $26 and $33, respectively.

I take it that the 35111-SWA-306 mod is only for 2009+ Fits? If so, is there anything like the SWA-306 available for the 2007-2008 Fits (with power door locks)?

College Hills Honda lists part number
08E60-SLN-100... but for $110 (ouch). But a websearch for "2007 Honda Fit keyless" shows a $41 key-with-buttons (similar in appearance to the 35111-SWA-306) called 35111-SLN-305, available in various places. Still more than $26, but much less than $110. Can anybody say whether SLN-305 works with '07/'08 base Fits?

bump. I'm curious as to what works as well. I've been looking around but everything I've read takes me in circles

I'm also looking for a key less option. Does the key fob (part #72147-SWA-A01) work on the 2007 base model ????

Thanks !!!

I bought the OEM kit from College Hills about 2 years ago and it works flawlessly.

You get the remote module, which plugs into the fusebox, and two programmable fobs. The module might not come with the other sets you referenced. Looks like those might just be the fobs. Gotta have the remote module to receive the signal from the fob.

My only recommendation regards installation. You have to get up under the dash AND clearly see what you're doing. Recline the driver's seat all the way, push it back as far as it will go, then lie on the seat on your back facing toward the front to get your head comfortably under the dash and have your hands free. Took me about 30 minutes once I figured that out.
