Where, exactly, is the A/C Evaporator Drain Hose?

This is a repeated question for which I have found no answer on this or any other Fit forum.

For example,

https://www.fitfreak.net/forums/1st-...ate-drain.html

--the answer is incomprehensible.

My 07 Fit's hose is blocked, and I can't find it on either side of the firewall. Would somebody be so kind as to describe exactly where to find it so it might be unblocked?

Thanks!

Look under your car (maybe it needs to be jacked up first). In the centerline of the car behind the engine where the transmission hump that in rear wheel drive cars have one.

Or just behind the wheels on your fit there should be a stub of hose sticking through the floorboard.

Easiest to take it for a drive with the A/C on then park it. Look on the ground for a small puddle of water after a few minutes then look up to where the drips are coming from.

Or look inside BEHIND the end of the console at the firewall and look at the big plastic lump that is the A/C box and see the small hose coming out the bottom of the box.

ac hose

I always thought it was the black hose that runs above the transmission. Its behind and to the left of the airbox.

HERE is the a/c air conditioner evaporator drain hose

Underneath, to left of center of car (looking forward), off the front left corner of the catalytic converter and almost underneath the cross-brace (in the picture, the brace the writing 4.4 on it). It is a black plastic hose about 1/2" ID surrounded by a white plastic sleeve.

I have found the drip tube on my 2015 fit.. Following it into the car I see where it fits under a black plastic box..this I presume is the box that captures the condensate. Here is the question, next to where this tube connects to the black box, there is a nipple that hangs down.. there is no tube or cap. What is the purpose..? an overflow? should there be a cap on it? should it have a small tube on it that projects into the cabin to indicate a potential blockage on the main drain line? very strange. land yes, I carpet is soaked on the front passenger side.
thanks for any thoughts ! regards. Paul Nelson

Trying to figure out best way to spray evaporator coils

I’m also trying to figure out the best location to spray the foam coil cleaner. Up through the condenser drain pipe? Or closer to the evaporation box. I also see the 1/2” tube connector to the box and the little 2” plastic cone coming down.
any advice
