2007 Fit Sport 101k starts in -6 F temps but stumbles.
Hey guys,
Lost my first account somewhere, joy. Anyway, we have an 07 Fit Sport with 101k miles, performed tune up (new plugs) less than 100 miles ago, and car has a 2 year old battery. Car starts slowly but as expected in these temps. Once running at idle it idles smooth. This morning we let it warm up for 10 minutes and then started our trek to work. We left our parking space at idle speed just fine. Went to pull out on the open road and the car limped and stumbled forward slowly. Check engine light flashed as the rpms raised and lowered swiftly but nothing above 2000-2500rpm. About 15 MPH it smoothed right out, light stayed off, and the car would accelerate just fine. Car performed normally from that point forward. Roughly 1/3 tank of gas and nothing major besides battery and plugs have been changed out.
I am an MR2 owner and know pretty much all there is to know about the MK1 MR2's. The Fit is the GF's car and we share a ride to work. My thoughts so far are very cold gasoline in the tank, fuel pump not exactly warmed up and not enough fuel getting to the injectors. No chance as of yet to scan for codes. She was driving not me so couldn't see all the gauges. Also the car is an auto. My other thought is the transmission fluid is still super cold at the point of the problem and the car struggled to move forward due to thick transmission fluid. Will scan for codes tonight after work. Just curious because the car has never done this before. The new plugs are NGK Iridium's that are supposed to be in the car. The coil on boots looked perfect and the old plugs were definitely used but all were the same looking with even golden brown discoloration and very little carbon.
Thanks in advance and sorry for the long read.

Update: No codes stored. Today it is snowing like no other but car behaved completely normal. Warmed up for about 5 minutes and drove perfect. Never hesitated, stumbled, or belched once. Is the Fit just not a very good severe cold weather car? Not that my MR2 could do much better.
