Alarm goes off when using key to open door and can't be silenced?
 

The battery in my key fob finally died on my 07 Fit Sport. When I tried to open the door using the key, the alarm went off continuously. Luckily I was at home and used the spare key fob to turn the alarm off. I looked in the owner's manual and there is no reference to a security system only reference to the mobilizer and the panic button.

How do I stop the alarm if I try to open the door with the key? Also, will just replacing the battery in the key fob require any special reprogramming?

There should be a 3 wire switch attached to the key cylinder, I'd suspect it needs checked.


Fob battery: just replace it and it should work again.
