2007 Fit died driving down the road

Hi Fit Freak Forum!
I have a kind of strange problem. I was driving my car down the road and I went to make a left turn and as I hit the turn signal the car died. The headlights stayed on and the key light displayed on the dash. That was the only dash light I remember being displayed. But the engine had died and the turn signal didn't turn on.
I coasted to the side of the road and then I turn the ignition key off, pulled the key out and put it in park. Then I put the key back in and turned it but the car won't start and no dash lights are displayed at all.

Has anyone else experienced this at all? Please let me know what you guys think.

Thanks,
Ed

check the fuse box under positive connector cover .Perhaps it is eaten away by corrosion affecting ignition ciruit

thanks doctor J. It turned out to be some of the main fuses in the larger fuse box under the hood. The car is a rebuild and the fusebox was not replaced after a collision on the front left of the car but two of the main large fuses in the centre of the box were damaged but did not blow until several years later. These were replaced and things seem to all be working fine now.

You may want to inspect the wire harness to make sure it is not rubbing against sharp metal edges
