SWEET!!!

Does this also allow using the Right side caliper on the R instead of having to switch them?

Availability of those parking break cable brackets? I need them as soon as they are available pretty please!

I suspect you are correct. My understanding is that our rear axle is beefier than the JDM one. For a change, it seems we got the better part.

Any fear of the notch weakening the spring/shock perch area? The pics look like it was a fairly minor tweak.

Brian Hasty 02-12-2018 03:47 PM

The shock attachment area is very well boxed in so the minor amount we had to trim won't hurt at all.

The calipers mount the same way they do on the RSX, R on right, L on left.

The brackets for the cables will be available as soon as we can get the time on the laser cutter.

We are also getting the Wavetrac folks to make the limited slip diff for the L15 and 2.0 6 speed tans. Won't be ready for 90-120 days but it's in the works. These will be available thru Wavetrac once finished.

Neat video of the brakes over on vtec academy.

mangosmoody 02-28-2018 03:55 PM

Brian do you sell just the adapters by themselves?

GAFIT 03-21-2018 11:44 AM

Any update on the RSX rear caliper to Fit parking brake adapters?

Great video above!

Sorry to not have kept updating on the Fit project, but we have been busy trying to get it ready for the Eibach event May6.

The L15B is finally in the car and we are proceeding to install the new radiator, AC condensor and the intercooler.

Today I deleted the clutch valve for a braided steel line with the assistance of Hush Perfomance. If you don't know who they are, they make custom tucked clutch and brake line conversions, mainly for show cars and the like. More pics coming of the installation as we progress.

Brian!!! This is awesome news!

Any insight on how difficult it was to get in there? Any cutting required?

Brian Hasty 05-02-2018 09:16 AM

We did have to remove the upper radiator support cross piece to make room for the turbo. We were going with a higher capacity radiator which requires new mounting brackets so it wasn't a big deal. This also means we had to remove the center vertical piece which holds the hood latch, but since we planned on installing Aerocatch hood locks anyway that didn't matter either. The entire radiator/AC condensor/intercooler setup needed more room in front so all were moved forward about 4". I'll have more pics showing when we have the final locations set.

Thanks for the updates, Brian.

any idea when the mounts will be available for purchase?

also will the fits MT be comptabible?

i have a 2nd gen as well. Not sure how that will change everything.

Here's some more info on the L15B7 turbo engine swap. We have the engine in it's final place and are proceeding to get the rest of the things done. I've attached some pics that will answer some more questions such as what shifter and cables we will be using, what radiator and AC condensor can be used, as well as the IC location and plumbing.

Hasport engine mounts should be available in the next 30 days or so. All the other brackets we are making for the shifter and brake cables should be ready at about the same time. Rather than release them piecemeal it was decided to get them all finalized and released all at once.

Tedjamin 06-01-2018 09:13 PM

Much excite! Any idea if this will all work for the GE8?

erodaone 06-03-2018 02:05 AM

first time posting really, but definitely in for a good write up on this!
I have a GD3 Fit I'm working on at the moment, has been through hell and some tough times and I've been looking at swap options that weren't K related.
following this for suuuuuuure

Brian Hasty 06-08-2018 11:25 AM

As far as I know the GD and GE will use the same parts.

Wow, this is amazing.L15 trubo in th original L15 car! I'm still Rocking My original 2007 Fit, 11 years After buying it new. 150 000 km... a litle bit of rust a little rougt on th edges, but still working pretty well. I might keep it a little and do THAT. I should start with 4 disc brake :-). I Really wonder why honda hasn't made a a new fit with it. The base turbo is still plenty powerful for a small car like the fit. The new Fit sport is pretty fun the drive, I like the high rev engine, better than turbo, but having more power is also fun :-). Kept it up!

Thats odd I had BC coilovers in 2012 and there wasnt anything like that fitment wise. They went right on.
