Any places I should check for a water leak? (wet rear seats)

Hello all,

I've since moved north to Sacramento and now have to deal with torrential downpours. We recently got almost 4 inches of rain in two days! :eek3: What I did was set my seats back up, they were both down when the rain happened. When I set them up, after the rain, they were both kinda damp. I couldn't find much water on the floor, but it was damp also.

The weather strips on the doors aren't perfect, but they do seem pass-able. I wouldn't mine changing out the weather strips for the five doors, if I could find some good replacements. Do most people replace the strips when they can find them at the wreckers, or are they cheap enough to buy them aftermarket? What's a good price for the replacements? Am I missing a spot that's problematic?

This is a common GD Fit issue.

Look carefully at the bottom of the doors after a rainstorm. I bet you will see drops under the inner door panels, INSIDE from the rubber door weatherstripping. The water then drips onto the sills and into the carpet.

The fix is to check/re-do the water shield, behind the door panels. There are several Topics here about the best approach.

BTW, check the front doors, as well.
