Clicking sound when gas pedal is depressed
I have a 07 Honda Fit. It recently started to make a clicking sound when gas pedal is depressed - it's decently loud and annoying. However It won't make the sound when in park, only when on the road and moving. I took it in to a mechanic and they couldn't find anything wrong. They said it could possible be a bad bush cv shaft axle but it probably isn't that. Has anyone had the same problem and figured it out?? The noise is driving me nuts. Thank you!

It usually starts making the clicking noise at around 2000rpm. It'll keep doing it on cruise control as well, It also doesn't matter if the car is going uphill, downhill, etc. I've put the car in park and depressed the gas pedal and it won't make the noise then and when I lift my foot off the gas it will stop.

Forgot to ask if it is a single click while passing 2K rpm mark or it's a series of clicks?"
Can you drive at different gear (or range for A/t) and see if click is made at same rpm or rather same road speed?
