do 2015 honda fit tires fit on 2007 honda fit
hey guys I have a 2007 Honda Fit and I'm looking at pair of tires from a 2015 Honda Fit would they fit on my 07 ?
since mine are 195/55 R15 and the ones I'm looking at are 195/55 R15 |
That is the correct size for our car, but that's not the size on the 2015. The base '15 comes with 185/60-15's. Higher trim levels come with 16" wheels.
If they are in fact 195/55-15's, then yes they will fit. |
ok so the rims or wheels will fit is that correct? also the ones I'm looking at are winter tires that the side Walls say 195/55 R16. I think the wheel are stock and that someone just threw winter tires on.
will that have an effect on the cars speed also? sorry I should have been more clear in the beginning with my questions |

Compare sizes here:
https://tiresize.com/calculator/ The wheels (rims) will fit if you are concerned about that also. |

ok so it wouldn't be worth putting 16s on it?
Use that tire calculator above or try www.willtheyfit.com to see what sizes are close to stock. Tire size work like this...first number is width in mm, second number is the percent of the width that is for the sidewall. Meaning that a 195/55 is 195mm wide and the sidewall is 195x.55 = 107.25mm tall sidewall. For overall diameter, you have to include the sidewall twice. So, 107.25 x 2 = 214.5. Convert to inches - 8.44 inches So, if you put that tire on a 15" wheel, you have a total diameter of 23.44. Put that spec tire on a 16" wheel and you have a 24.44 diameter. My point is that, if you go up in diameter, you need to go to a tire with less sidewall (ie. 45 aspect ratio) in order to keep the overall diameter the same. Short answer is that a 195/55-16 is too tall for your car. Also, it's better to go down in wheel diameter for snow tires instead of up. You want more sidewall for better impact resistance. Most run 14 or 15" wheels for winter use. |
hey sorry I haven't been able to reply sooner it looks like you put a lot of time into to your reply and I just wanted to say thank you so much for helping me out with this.
