Thank you - agree that the hizz sound makes it really cool as I have it in my CRV, and the acceleration would be a big gain. Could be my next mod project. That being said, any thought on stronger rear sway bar?

Just look into this more, the posted CAI only applicable to 09-11 FIT MT. Does anyone have experience of this for a 09 FIT base AT? Just curious about how an intake will have any affect on tranny? And how about this one which does not mention either MT or AT, and 11 bucks cheaper?

Looks awesome! About how high off the ground does the lowest part of the filter sit? The CAI on my RSX-s is about 8in off the ground and I cringe whenever I see a flooded street. I'm thinking the Takeda sits well above that but would like to know from actual owners. Thanks!

I would have to measure to get the actual inches. But it sits right under the battery

I just installed mine and it sits much higher than in my RSX-s. I don't think hydrolock is an issue unless I end up driving in 2' of water.

Hey do you guys know whether the takeda intake will fit on A/T fit's? Most sellers on eBay have a note: "manual transmission only". why is that?

I believe it is because the automatic transmission sits farther forward than the manual transmission.

I looked into this as many of us with the same question. This CAI design has a long intake tubing goes down from the intake and loops under the battery. For the AT model, the transaxle takes up too much room for the intake tubing to fit in, unless you can mod it. However, the Fit's engine comparment does not have too much room to fit the cone filter design. I am thinking about using a flat K&N cone filter and a short neck tubing without loop downward. Any advice out there?

Well recently installed the intake and i just got home from driving in one of the worst storms I've ever driven in. Puddles a few inches deep, and i had no problem. It made me wince everytime i hit a big puddle. Especially when if hydroplaned (run the 205 width tires, helps a ton). I babied the throttle, and kept it in low revs to prevent it from sucking water. however i also have an injen hydroshield on it. So i say its fine as long as youre careful and put a hydroshield on it and replace it every so often (the water resistent coating wears off after a while, or at least thats what it said on the package).

I also have the Takeda. Didn't notice any significant mpg/hp gain but I really like the sound.
