J's Racing camshaft
Not released as of yet, but testing is on-going right now.
CAM No idea what cost might be or power increases, there is a dyno pic, that doesn't look impressive, but remember this is still in testing phase and I'm sure a new reflash will be created. Though that doesn't bode all that well really for North American models. |
Can you find out more about that adjustable cam gear? I was going have one made.. but that looks pretty much identical to what I had been designing in my head lol
|
Maybe close to what Jun came out with. I saw it on AJ's Racing blog saying its should bump the L15 up +16hp and +2.3km/Tq with a stand alone ECU and a good tune. But the coast is ¥50,400 (about $650) plus they need a core to make it for you.

Yeah it might be JUN's, I saw that a while back as well. Need to contact JUN again.
DSM, I'll try to get some info from J's about it. |
Hey, I've been reading a lot of posts lately that say " if only we had the jdm ecm."
now my experience with hondas is that things are interchangeable. Why could I not run the jdm ecu in my usdm fit? what do I need to change to make it work? |
Hello??? Been awhile
|
USD and JDM run on completely different systems, the OBD system is no longer valid, the values are completely different and they don't have the same emissions we do.
I've done the JDM thing with a couple other cars and trust me, there were SOOOO many hoops to jump through just to A) get a licences to buy it B) get the papers to register it and C) to finally sell it without scaring the buyers. I had a JDM Evo 6 and when the ECU fried (and I didn't have the money for a standalone at the time) I had to convert it to USDM spec...the harness (main, dash and bulk) and the cluster, ecu and pretty much the whole car was different. -Mark |
Depends on the car really.
I have a JDM 1985 Corolla GT-S They used a completely different air metering system (JDM used MAP vs USDM MAF) and thus the harness is different. Although its not too hard to swap harnesses. This is an older car though, nothing like the complexity of a newer car. But although, who knows until someone tires. |
