GE8: Tanabe T70143A Medalion Touring Axle Back Exhaust <- installing this w/e tips?
Hello fellow GE8 Fit owners,
Hope you are well.
The reason for this post is to get tips for installing this axle back exhaust. Would like to do it myself and save myself $75 install fee charged by my local muffler shop.
Got car stands to get rear tires off the ground.
What tools will I need?
What should the nuts to hold on the muffler be torqued to?
Do I need to buy any parts from the dealership? If so, which ones?
Any tips you can provide is appreciated.

The hardest part is getting the damn muffler hangers off. Otherwise it's just two bolts to disconnect the piping. Spray some silicon lube on the hangers. I unbolted the piping before I took the hangers off so I could push and pull the assembly around a little bit.
AFAIK there's no parts or anything you need, and the factory bolts for the exhaust have stoppers on them, so just ratchet them in until they stop if you're using them... I'm not sure if the Tanabe uses different bolts or not. All you need is a ratchet or wrench, I don't remember the size but it's not an uncommon size or anything, any random metric socket set will be fine. Maybe a small screwdriver to get the hangers off, slip it in and pry them off. Careful not to rip them.
Simple task really, and would have taken 10 minutes if I didn't spend 20 fighting with the hangers.
