HKS Silent hi-power exhaust for GE8??

I'm scourging the internet to find out if the HKS SILENT Hi-Power exhaust for the JDM RS model will fit my 2011 GE8 sport. I know there's a regular Hi-Power HKS exhaust for the US GE8 but I want something with a low and subtle sound (no droning!) and the videos i've seen with Silent HPs do just that. Any help on this is greatly appreciated!

It could but keep in mind. The JDM fit is shorter from front to rear so buying an exhaust made for a model not yours will cause the exhaust tip to not be seen out the back.

Oh man, I understand that different exhaust systems (hks, apexi, tanabe, etc) differ in diameter tip and center pipe by a few millimeters but I didn't even think about the actual length of the pipe.

Maybe exhaust spacers would work?

When in doubt, get the HKS universal muffler (titanium, stainless, carbon fiber, pick your size) and have a reputable muffler shop fabricate/adapt it to your stock exhaust. Simple.

The same model exhaust would yield the same sound. Any N1 exhaust system is not gonna be as deep as say Apex-i WS or Tanabe Medallion Touring exhaust. You first need to listen to exhausts and find that model for the fit.

Just listen to the G8 with header.

It sounds awful. Like a fast can. An exhaust a few inches shorter won't yield a better or different sound.

It does fit. I have the HKS Silent Hi-power mid-pipe and rear sections mated up to a Weapon R header. Fits perfect and sounds phenomenal. Especially once I put my supercharger on. Though I'm still working out my limp mode with the SC! ha ha (shakes fist at sprintex). I ordered my system through RHD Japan. RHD: Home Page - RHDJapan shipping was NOT cheap.

Oh nice! Thanks Linus! I don't have the funds to get the whole system right now, but thanks to you, I know the Silent HKS fits!

I'm glad I could help! It does a good job taming the Weapon R header. I never ran it without the header, but I'm thinking it's really mellow.
