Ge8 k20z3 swap

I posted in the 1st gen whoops anyways here is my complete ge8 13 fit k20z3 swap runs great just ecu will not communicate with the car at all only the engine but cluster works looks like a Christmas tree. But it's totally worth it for me pulls hard.

I was just wondering if you had any tips/tricks for removing the engine easily. Mine just blew and I’m just getting a stock replacement 1.5. I would LOVE to K swap but I have too many other projects that demand cash and I need to get this Fit back on the road. PS I’ve only had it for like 3 weeks ☹️

20 or 24?

I hit up two shops for quotes to start getting my swap started... both of them said they were using the 24 I still can't figure out why or what the difference is between the two motors for the purpose of the swap... ican please somebody give me some help thank you ahead

2NRS makes a jumper harness that I believe should get dash working. The setup I have heard that works is a K24Z3 out of a second gen TSX with the harness and ecu from that generation as well. Can anyone confirm that route works? I want to try it, but it's an expensive gamble.

Vtec academy has info on this to communicate with cluster. I believe k24 is better for fits if I recall.

USDM GE8

As of right now the best swap for compatibility is the k24z3 TSX motor & ECU.
Transmission what ever seems to float your boat 6spd. 5spd probably not the best option.
shift cables 9th gen civic
CRZ 6 speed shifter

RSX base axles will work.
HASPORT only one makes mounts unless you make your own

A/C and all that stuff I would just say stop thinking this car is going to have AC. little to no one has a working Fik c/ it right now although its possible. Brian at HASPORT has his working intermittently. He also lives in AZ; because I live in oregon and i've lived c/o A/C in every swapped car I've ever had i'm ok not worrying about it. Plus i have other vehicles I can drive when heat becomes an option. I do plan on daily driving this for the most part. Just need a 6 rib 50.5 belt per post i've read and I can live with that or i'll get a delete kit from PQY and run that.


with that being said i'm doing a k20z3. I picked a whole car up for 2k so i'm gonna make it work. I have k24z3 in my garage but its a full rebuild. I also have a k20a3 from a a wrecked RSX so i have parts laying around.

getting above shifter crz and cable combo but i have a whole 8th gen SI to play with so if i can make it work i'll make it work
Exhaust is going to be custom because k20 and k24 dont fly together. I'm not looking for speed or anything so probably going to try to use the stock k20z3 header and down pipe will be fabricated to a full custom exhaust 2.5" piping. Have zero idea if the header will work with placement but as long as i can use something oem and save where i can save I will do it.


information is still far from complete for this swap compared to years ago but there are solutions and people willing to help. Anyone who comes across this post you'll find more on face book groups than this site.
