Where did you get said RS lights?

 

Just take the reflector out of the USDM lights and voila, RS taillights. Minus the pink LED's.

 

I have to say, your avatar always makes me a feel a little weird everytime I see it. No knock on you, I just have to say it.

I'd have to try and gain about 165lbs. Then we'll see.

 

I think both RS and Base JDM tail lights are pretty nice.

 

I say the base taillights look better. If only those came with LEDs, they'd be perfect.

The RS units are too silvery for me.
They remind me of the full-smoked JDM GD LED taillights for the top-dog JDM GD3s...not very appealing as they were too silvery/greyish when not illuminated.

 

can't wait to see what kind of tails they use for upcoming year GE8s... hopefully the GE8 has a long run and we get more aftermarket support... PRONTO!

How could you not love these? Anyway, to each his/her own. I just like having the ability to create something different and these parts are just paint to my canvas. I know that I wouldn't want my car any other way, and other's appreciation is just a plus.

 

To be honest I'd rather have anything than the USDM tails, they're ugly as hell. The JDM ones just look cleaner. Plus the JDM tails would look real clean on my fit since it's red. If anyone knows where to get a set of genuine JDM tails let me know, I don't trust ebay.

 

How would you remove the reflectors? Bake the lights to open them up?

 

Yup. Can't say exactly for the taillights but when I opened up my headlights it only took 4 minutes at 250 degrees and it pried apart with a flathead. I think it would look sick if someone took out the reflector and painted the OEM housings black.

 

From my perspective, the USDM tails is my favorite.
Because non LED DM tails is a common stock tail lights.

So I'd prefer USDM tails though.
Even LED JDM, I'd still prefer USDM tails...
I like the small red reflector eye...

I love USDM tail lamps! probably because we don't have that type here, does anyone know where can i get USDM OEM wing? or anyone willing to trade with my modulo wing?

 

I also dislike the jdm base tails. It looks cheap imo. I think the rs tails belong on our us fit sport being that it would be closer to jdm as the sport is equivalent to the rs in Japan.

I like the subtleties of the leds. The base tails have a too much "look at me I'm different" look.

 

Personally, I like our tailights, alot and the only thing I've seen that I like is the ones with LEDs but are stock like ours are

 

I like the base ones, but what this person in Japan did to their RS lights looks great.

 

I like the base JDM, it actually looks different. The USDM and the JDM RS look too much alike to change.

Alright I'm clueless and out of touch.

But they are taillights? Yeah, one looks a little different than the other. Just like a Red Honda "H" looks a little different than a black and silver Honda "H".

But I really don't get the obsession. Seriously? If you really don't like the looks of the what turns out to be almost the entire vehicle...then why did you buy it in the first place?

I see people replacing front end, replacing back end, replacing badges....on and on....

Didn't you like the car when you bought it?

And honestly once you spend the money and step back...most of the differences seem pretty subtle...

I just don't quite understand buying a vehicle, then spending a 1/4th of the total amount of purchase (or more) making it into a totally different cosmetic vehicle.

Continue on...I suppose there are worse hobbies to have...but I'll I admit I'll never quite get it....
