Am I the only one who doesn't like the GE JDM tails?
Sure, make it your "own". But why does that mean you need to buy mass produced kits, extensions, add on's and other parts that actually are pretty populous?
Make it your own? Try a bumper sticker....
Make it your own? Try a bumper sticker....
No other fit in my area looks like mine. I have it "good" because no one mods fits in Waco, TX. I even go as far to make mine different than others on the board. Most people who modify like their car to be different. There is appeal in being different, while still looking good.
Some people in SoCal might have the dilemma you mention since due to a high modifying population. Even still, they make it their own by changing and choosing. So what if it's a mass-produced kit? It still gives it a different look than what could be bought from the dealer in most cases.
You seem to have a real problem with what other people do to their cars. You've mentioned it in several threads, usually when it's not even appropriate. So I have to ask, why? Why are you so concerned with what other people are doing? If you prefer a stock fit, great! I think it's a great little car, even without modifications!
Careful, too many bumper stickers is bad news.

He forgot to mention the Blue H's. I think I am only one with them. Has to increase the value of the car by how much? A few hundred at least.
i mean i don't understand when people buy a computer and start adding blue led/neon lights and upgrading all the fans and such, makes no sense to me, i just buy a computer and use it, but to them its fun, and they like to do, so be it
i'm sure you feel the same about cars, you bought a Fit and you will just use it for what you got it for nothing more, others got their Fit to mod or whatever they want to do with it and thats cool too
also to stay on the topic of thread, i hate the jdm base tails too, the RS LED is so much cleaner looking

And I have no problem with what people want to do with their cars. Mod away. I can admittedly "not understand" why some people do what they do, and still understand and easily accept that people want to do it. I would say I even admire the work and effort many people put into their Fits. Even if it is a project or mod I personally would never do. I enjoy seeing what many of you do.
The reason I'm asking or even bother to ask, is not based on either a lack of support for those that wish to modify their vehicles but honestly to try to gain a better understanding of what makes the average person who mods tick...
This is NOT meant as a slam on those that mod, but especially cosmetic modifications. I often wonder do most of you purchase The Fit with an eye or with the predisposed idea that you are going to change The front end, the tail lights, the rear, the sides...on and on?
I think it's fine if people do, but it's admittedly a little alien to me. I mean, to me? If you don't like the tail lights on a car, or the front end, or the rear....then at what point do you say, maybe I don't want THIS car?
I have always admitted and will always say, the fault if any, is my own. I really don't get it. I mean, I added a cargo cover, a center console, a cargo mat, side mouldings...I'm considering seat covers in the future, and extremely enough...once I'm past factory warranty I'd REALLY like a moonroof, I just don't want to do it with a relatively new vehicle still under warranty.
But outside of the moonroof...I'd say all my additions are protective or add to function.
But I apologize if I come off as too Anti-Modding. Because ultimately I am Pro-Personal Freedom. It's your car, if you have the desire, do what you will.
I don't have to understand why....but I might question from time to time.
And finally, yes...sorry I won't comment again...I did not mean to steal the topic of this thread.
Just for kicks...if I was going to choose? I kind of like the GE JDM tail lights....

They look basically the same. They're slightly different, but no more than you see in the Honda mid-cycle refreshes. But then, taillights are functional items. They're red and white, or red, yellow and white, and shine behind you. I'd much rather Honda go back to having large, wide taillight fixtures to give a very clear "F*cking car stopping here!" signal.
Personally I like the smoked depo's but it looks like no one on this thread mentioned them haha. I can't stand those jdm base tails...props for something completely different but its not my style, i prefer my obnoxiously bright leds on top and bottom! haha
Hell yeah they do!!!
I was looking at getting the all smoked DEPOs. Are these the ones you guys have? Has anyone seen these on a Fit in pictures yet?

Thanks for the reply. I had only seen the ones with a smoked 2/3 top and red 1/3 bottom. How long have you had them and are they holding up well? How much did you pay?
Would you say they look brighter in your pictures than they appear? They almost don't look smoked at all. I have a Crystal Black Fit, so I'm hoping they don't contrast the car too much. I suppose I can always tint them if they are too light still.
Thanks
Edit: Here is a picture where they appear much darker. Would you say this picture, or yours is closer to what the naked eye will see? http://www.valuepicturehosting.com/a...it_09_led1.jpg
