looks good, if you want them darker you can always take your car to a tint shop and they can smoke them more, but i like how they look.

 

Yea I'm satisfied with them as they are. Mine appear lighter in the photos I took as well. I think tinting them would start hindering performance and when they are off they almost appear full black, so I'm happy. Thanks for the help.

 

Here are my pics of the Depo's. The fit and finish is around 7-8 with OE being 10. Also, the only safety feature not included on the Depo versus US OEM is the red reflector on the side. Overall I am extremely happy with the units.

As a note, I did go over all the seams with silicone just in case.

Nice tail. I was thinking of getting those ones, but I decided the all smoked would have been better on crystal black.

Actually, I kinda like the top part of the our USDM tail lights, the turn/hazard signal and reverse light.

I kinda wish the bottom part was more... "filled" out. I don't like the circle shape, rather have it light up the entire red section.

As for the JDM base tails... I was liking it for a while, until I realized the main light is circular.

And the Depos... they remind me too much of the GDs when they're on.

I wonder how the new RS lights look when they're on.

 

huge tail light with few LED... non RS needs more LED IMO

 

has anyone tried opening the taillights to get at the inside trim and paint it? i think that would look good, paint over the silver parts with black, leaving the red areas red. i don't know how much that would mess with reflectivity though and maybe make the turn signal and reverse lights really dim, or "small" looking, like you'd just see the bulbs light up instead of the whole housing. but the brake/driving lights would be fine because, like i said, you wouldn't paint where the red areas go.
