Can any of you confirm whether or not the US side mirrors are the same as the JDM side mirrors?

Did you mean the glass ?
well, the glass it self is different kind...
I think the JDM one is further more curved or something like that,

and for sure the maximum angle of movement of the mirror/glass motor is also different...
my real JDM passenger mirror had to be adjust maximum toward inside for me to be able to see the right view clearly... this is because the JDM is left hand drive...

beside the JDM one mostly are motorized (they can fold),
USDM one are NOT motorized.

Yeah, I just meant the glass itself (as far as dimensions). Plan to DIY led blinkers in the mirrors so I was wondering whether or not I can interchange the glass in the event that one were to crack/break/get scratched.

oh, the dimension of the glass and the bracket behind it are the same on both JDM and USDM,
but the way they curve (glass) and angled (bracket) are different.

but yes, you can always put JDM glass on USDM mirror housing.
it might not angled and curved ideally though...
but unless you sit extremely close to the steering (short person) or you sit extremely far from the steering (tall person), I think you will still be able to see quite wide enough.

This might be a project I would look into for next year.

I've already got aftermarket winker covers and heated mirrors (standard in Canada).

So the question is, can I simply retrofit the motor into my current mirrors?

And, is it possible to get the mirrors to open and close automatically with the keyless entry?

I just swaped the Motors. For me buying the whole thing is some sort of waste, so i decided to "surgically" improve it. I just did the righ side and put wiring inside the door for all other options i may get later on ( Headted, Leds, Keyless entry....) I would really like to have the keyless entry ( think is kinky.. hehehe)
... So i saved some fun for later on....
Still....will do Left side this coming weekend probably... :-0

For the Auto option, I have been thinking that even is a great option, It may kill the option of folding your mirror whenever you want them, for example squeeezinnggg tru a crowded lane ( like here in Shanghai) a manual use of the foding options would be good to be available even if you get the Auto folding unit ( which works when you power up the ignition to unfold and lock the car to fold)...

I think you can easily retrofit the USDM glass servo to a JDM housing with autofolding, that way you will get the correct angle/convex of USDM mirror,
but I don't think you can just buy the motor and assembly that fold the housing separately though...

now, to get the mirrors to open and close automatically with keyless entry is possible, in fact I think if you buy the JDM car with keyless entry, it will automatically fold the mirror when the car is lock...
the trigger for the mirror to fold is when the car is lock,
and it will reopen only after you turn the key to ACC (so just unlocking the door would not make the mirror open again)...

If you are asking about just the heated glass it self, I don't have the part number,
but if you are asking the complete assy, including the housing and the LED turn signal, I think had post it on this thread earlier...

you can always buy the aftermarket (glass), that came with turn signal on the glass it self,
It was also posted on this thread earlier when FitStir bought them ...

here is the part # for complete assy of JDM FOLDING mirror:
1) Right LED Folding mirror,

76208-TFO-J11(without heater)

with heater: 76208-TF0-J21 9pin

76208-TF0-J31 11pin with heater and keyless system
76208-TF0-J41 9pin Non Heated but have Key Free System

2) Left LED Folding mirror,

76258-TFO-J11(without heater)

with heater: 76258-TF0-J21 9pin

76258-TF0-J31 11pin with heater and keyless system
76258-TF0-J41 9pin Non Heated but have Key Free System

oh, the keyless sensor,
well, if we had met before I install my JDM mirror on my car,
I would be gladly took out the keyless sensor and sell them to you
cause I don't need them since making a USDM car keyless would need lot of work with the wiring...

but now, I am too lazy to took them out from the mirror housing,

bbbbbbrrrrrr

You just gave me an idea....

How do you know the wiring is complicated? I still need to get the part numbers lol
Probably will have to dig more into the ESM software...
I have the repair manual but is in Chinese and there is nothing about that in there... is not a standard in HONDA FIT here, but is in other models...

I wonder though if I could buy just the folding motor though. Seems like a waste to buy the whole jdm mirror assembly when everything else I have I like so far.

I really just want to add the folding option both manual and automatic.

I suppose the automatic folding system would require some kind of module to hook up to the lock and ACC and mirrors right? Wondering if it would be plug and play... not that I don't have any experience with soldering , but I'm feeling lazy about this lol.

When you say you swapped the motors, do you mean the folding ones? If so, what is the part number and how much are the motors?

Again, I have everything else already (heated and led signal) so I just want to add the folding motor with the auto option.

So for my "parts list" I guess I'd need:

-Left and right folding motors
-auto folding module
-manual folding mirror control switch
-harnesses/wiring.

Do you guys know the part numbers for those items? Is it more complex than that?

Well, I never swapped the motors cause I buy the complete assy (the one with the 11pin wire) but from comparing it with the USDM one, I think it can be swapped, but I can not guarantee since I had not done it.

now this is the part number that I knew:
the harness that came with the auto folding MODULE:
08V02-TF0-000

and the manual folding mirror control switch for
GE (not back lighted) 35190-TFO-J01

CR-V (back lighted) 35190-SWA-J02

Thanks for the reply, I'm thinking from past mods that the motor probably fits, but I'll have to look into that to be sure.

Now assuming it can, can I leave my existing wires alone and just add the folding harnesses and module separately? I know it probably isn't the most efficient way of doing this but it's probably the easiest and least intrusive.

Okay, so that doesn't include the module itself? Just the harness for it.

Looks like I'm gunna start researching again lol.

My mistake, I am kind of sleepy right now hahaha,...
so my sentence is not coherent anymore hahaha
that wiring harness is bundled together with the module.
so when you buy it, it came complete with module and wiring harness to enable auto folding.
the only other stuff you need to buy is the SWITCH.

Ahh no worries, that's good actually. So I assume you have the module yourself?

Are there instructions for installation included?

Well I guess I'm going to go look at the ESM or lings Honda to compare the manual vs motorized mirror. (Feels a little bit like when I researched the climate controls lol).

As for the switch... The GE one is cheaper than the crv one I imagine, the only difference is the led is missing right? But then camivil pointed out that you just need to pop a bulb in? So maybe I should just take it out of my original switch.

Alpina gave you the part #'s you need.

Here's the part #'s for the motorized assembly (from earlier in this thread)

from fitfans.br
Fit Fans Forum - DIY auto-fold
Motores RHD para países com mão Direita (Inglaterra, Japão...)
- Motor do rebatedor do retrovisor lado direito - Part Number : 76204-TF0-E31
- Motor do rebatedor do retrovisor lado esquerdo - Part Number : 76254-TF0-E31
Ou
Motores LHD para países com mão Esquerda (Brasil, Alemanha e etc).
Os PartNumbers para o ângulo de visualização LHD são:
- Motor do rebatedor do retrovisor lado Direito 76204-TF0-P01
- Motor do rebatedor do retrovisor lado Esquerdo 76254-TF0-P01
So for the LHD you need 76204-TF0-P01 & 76254-TF0-P01 parts.
Just out of curiosity I checked the prices for these on amayama and there about $110 US each. Since I wasn't able to get to this install before the cold weather came, I'm actually thinking of swapping the motors out for the LHD versions.

Check out the DIY from the fitfans.br link, it needs to be translated, but it's a complete detailed DIY on how to swap the motors... after the epic mod you did this is easy peazy.
