Focal 165V1 install help?

I'm looking to install the Focal 165V1 into the GE6 in a few days here.

Anyone have any hints/tips to install these things?

I've been hearing that yo need spacers, but I've also read that you can reuse the factory mounts with a little modification.

My JBL GTI series midbass is pretty deep also. You can look on my build topic and see I used a 3/4" spacer made of MDF to put the midbass in a better spot so as to not hit the window. You will probably need at least a 1/2" spacer if not a 3/4" one the mounting depth on your midbass is the same from what I can find as mine. There was room behind mine after doing a 3/4" spacer but I like to leave room behind rather than just cut it way too close.

Thanks for the reply. Could you tell me the model of your speakers? I would like to know the mounting depth on them to compare numbers.

Mine are 71.3mm (converted it says 2.80 inches)

Installed. Will take pictures when I install the tweeter as well.

actually used the oem bracket as I couldn't find any spacers for 165mm speaker in japan (all of them were either 16cm or 17cm) and i don't have the equipment to cut some out.
