Roof rack suggestions?

I have a 2010 Fit Sport. Would love a roof rack to carry my kayak. Anyone have any experience with roof racks?

Also, I have door visors. Will these effect installation of a roof rack?

Any help or suggestions is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I have a roof rack for my Fit. The feet of the rack that touch the car attach to the door frame (the proper name escapes me at the moment), not along the windows.

Besides a slight increase in wind noise (which you probably experience with the door visors), I noticed a slight decrease in my MPG.

Do you have an aero rack or square bar?

Mine are the round Yakima bars, not the newer aero-style bars.

I had a Thule roof rack for a while. Square bars, but with the wind fairing. Still notices ~2mpg loss. Worked fine with window visors.

I had the yakimas and I got rid of them. They were super noisy & gas mileage really suffered. I think the weight limit for fit roof racks is 120lbs
