Anyone know how to read plugs?
Just did a plug swap and valve adjustment the results where mind blowing... car currently has 113,912 miles these where what came out... how bad is it, plz tell me the results Doc.

Let me guess ... the one with brown blow by on the white ceramic was cyl #2 ... 🙄

no clue tbh I had Honda inspect it and change it all they could come up with is “ Suspension components look used“ no shit they got almost 114k on em lmfao. |

Actually fujisawa has a valid question. Did you see what the coil pack looked like? With a FIT, you should look at both. #2 cylinder tends to have a spark plug that get loose and there's blow-by and the coil pack gets sooty, smells of gasoline, and the rubber boot could be melted.
The plugs, in general look ok. I would reuse after checking the gap. The one thing that concerns me is that the bottom three (3) in the first pic, seem to have threads that are flattened nearer the nose, which could be miss-threaded / allowing them to come loose / you getting a mis-fire while those threads in the head get eroded by the hot gases coming up along the plug. Maybe the performance boost is mainly due to the valve adjustment. |
