Catback or Axleback?

I'm thinking of making some changes on my Fit/Jazz's exhaust for the following reasons:

1) Performance- This is what I am most interested in. I want squeeze out every ounce of power out of the stock L15 engine (a good 3-10 horses at least?) and maximize the benefits of all future mods.

2) Bling- SUS34 just looks so damn good and much lighter too!

3) Safety- for a little car like the fit, it can be a bit hard for other vehicles or people to see and hear me approaching so I think a little bit of change on the exhaust note would be necessary.

Right now, I am considering a Catback and Axleback. But before throwing some serious amount of cash on the exhaust system, I wish to determine the following first:

a) Heard some cars already come with good flowing stock pipes that an axleback alone is enough. Is the Fit/Jazz one of those cars? Or should I go change the mid pipe as well?

b) Anyone here been to the dyno before to compare the WHP and Torque output of stock vs axleback vs catback exhaust? Which has produced the best result?

I'm not planning to change the headers right now or replacing the CAT with a test pipe as I think the exhaust will become too loud and smelly.

TIA guys for answering my queries. Ride safe!

Neither option will realistically gain you more than 3-5 whp best case.

loud pipes save lives is a myth, both for cars and motorcycles.

The only justification for buying an exhaust is you liking how they look/sound. I have an axleback on my Fit and intake/header/high flow cat/catback on my fun car. I wouldn’t do any more than an axleback on a car I commute in.
