2009 honda fit cold weather and clutch pedal play due to forcing it to engage

2009 honda fit cold weather and clutch pedal play due to forcing it to engage

Hello fit lovers...I have a 2009 Fit with manual transmission.
Super cold morning I forced the clutch pedal to engage, now with not as cold weather
its not working properly. Anyone know what I may have done?

Maybe the pedal itself has a problem. Get your head down there with a flashlight.

Yeah, I'm a little thrown by this one too. You should never have any issues engaging the clutch, regardless of weather (though admittedly, I haven't dealt with weather below 15°F).
My guess would be that something went afoul and the temps had nothing to do with it. Whether it be an external mechanical operation, like the pedal, or linkage, or something internal, like an issue with the finger springs, or those other regular springs that are in the clutch pack in little pockets. A lot of stalls could cause them to become permanently compressed, creating potential for them to dislodge partially or fully.. fully being better than partially. (I'm not sure that would cause your specific fault - it's more of an expression of semi-common occurrence that involves the same operational issue of clutch engagement/disengagement)
