2012 Honda Fit RS won't change mode
 

Hi, I am a new member here from the UK and bought a 2012 Honda Fit RS automatic today. It's a 4.5 grade Japanese hybrid import—my first Honda.

​​​​I did a Carvx check and have all the documents are good. The test drive was good. I Drove it home 50 miles with no errors or issues, but by pressing the mode buttons, it won't change mode and is "set“ to Normal.

I still brought the car knowing this, hoping it was not a significant issue as everything else was good. I've searched the net and cannot find any answers or solutions. The seller didn't know. ​​Please can anyone advise?

When I press sports or eco, nothing happens. All I see is "normal" on the dash. When I turn on the ignition, I can see sports mode and eco lights.

Could it be a fuse? The seller did say to make the car UK compliant; they put in a rear fog light button (see image). Now, thinking this may have caused an issue.

I pulled the panel and it turns out a connector was not connected, plugged it in and all is good.

I was worried it was a circuit board issue.
All good.
