Less front legroom???

I have a deposit on an 09, and I am in a situation where I might actually have to buy it while it's en route to the dealership.

My only concern is that I am 6'2" (33w 34inseam), and after looking at the specs, I see that the fit has LESS front legroom (from the Honda spec sheets):

2008: 41.9"
2009: 41.3"

This is a bit of a concern for me...most of my driving will be stop-and-go urban driving, but i will be taking the odd road trip, and I'm wondering if that's just too little legroom for a guy my size.

Anyone out there own or test drive an 09 and noticed the difference?

Would I be better off getting a Civic?

Thanks!

I am 6'3", sat in the new Fit, it felt better than the old Fit. The seat bottom is longer to give me more leg support and the seat back is longer to give better back support. Overall the car feels much more comfortable than the out going model for a tall person at least. The seats are supportive and not too stiff as well.

.6" should not be enough to kill the deal. Seriously, you are not going to notice that small an amount. If you expected MORE leg room, you really just need to drive the car and see if it works for you. As hanzo said, the seats have been reconfigured so it's not all about measuring legroom.

Why would the dealer make you buy it without seeing it? Or is it your timeline that's shorter? I would not buy a car that I had not driven. I bought my car from 3 states away, but I had driven 3 Fits and knew what I was getting. If it was a model change, I'd never buy it w/o testing it.

It's my timeline. I have great pre-approved financing that expires on the 14th, and it's highly unlikely the car will be in by then. I will go to a different dealer tonight, and hopefully they still have one I can at least sit in.
