Is the spoiler removable? (without body damage)

I'll be honest, I'm not crazy about the spoiler. The rest of the body kit looks great though.

Can the spoiler be removed without exposing screw holes or other body damage? I'm not sure how the spoiler is attached.

Unfortunately I didn't take any pictures of what it looks like, but there are 5 holes. The 3 holes in the middle are larger, unthreaded holes with white nylon female clips stuck in them and the 2 on the outside are smaller, threaded holes. The area of the body around the 2 outside holes is recessed in a bit and the actual threaded hole is raised a bit. Look to spend a decent amount at a body shop to get these covered up, at least a few hundred.

I was able to swap hatch doors with a Base Fit owner of the same color who was local. Once you know how, swapping doors is really easy. If you can find someone to swap with I can tell you how to do it.

Looks like swapping hatch doors is the best option. Thanks for the heads up.

Love the Fit, just not the spoiler. Reminds me too much of the Suzuki model.

Do you have an 07-08 or an '09? I did the swap with an '08, I'm not sure if it's a different deal with the new ones.

I agree 100%. The '09 Sport will look super clean without the window awning tacked on the back.

I was planning on pulling the rear spoiler off mine (new '09) to see what was underneath. I expect there to be 2 holes that are threaded inside. Hoping there are not more holes. I'm pretty sure I can find plastic or metal plugs that I can prime, paint, and use sealant to ensure they don't leak. Swapping with a base owner might be an option as long as the base hatch had the rear wiper.

Can you just replace the panel on top of the hatch door that the spoiler bolts into?

Glad to see I'm not the only one who doesn't like the spoiler. But does it serve a purpose? Does it make the Fit more aerodynamic? Does it keep the rear window cleaner? I love the sport model, but not the spoiler.

My question is about the 2009 models.
