I haven't even seen springs or coils available from an American distributor yet.

Because they are not .... yet... I`d say about 4~5 months later you`ll start to see springs and Coilovers at the earliest;)

Uh....if they were the same then why do you think there are NO SPRINGS AVAILABLE FOR 09 FITS?!:confused::confused:

saveacivic Oct 17, 2008 03:55 AM

Look a few threads down numb nuts... There are pics of a couple 09 fits, in the US, that are lowered, with springs... So what is the cut off year? Progress has up to 2007 listed on their website for their set, but this thread implies only 2009 is the new comer... See the fuzziness in this?

JDM_DOHC_SiR Oct 17, 2008 06:15 AM

95% of the guys that are lower in the states now have ordered springs from me overseas in Japan.....

The 1st generation FIT GD3 springs and suspension will not work correctly on the newer 09 GE8 fit.....

Hope this answers your question..

:wavey:

I want to drop, but I love how comfy the stock suspension is. And it's quiet. I know that once I drop, all that will go out the window. Plus my GE8 is a lease.

Not entirely true.. you can have a lower ride and maintain the same comfort level up to about a 1.3 inch drop:popc::wavey: ( 2 makers that I know of offer this type of spring )

JDM-Taffeta-S Oct 17, 2008 04:28 PM

whats the most comfortable drop spring you reccomend?

I'm sure they're comfortable to a certain extent, but stock is the best for my by far. Plus I wouldn't just drop with springs. I'd get coilovers. But it's cool. I like keeping my GE8 stock, since it is my daily driver. At least I still have my DB8 that I get to play around with. She's dropped on TEIN Flex coilovers.
