After seeing a thread about people's mods to '09's, I was inspired to go outside and look at the way the all season mats fit in the Fit. You know, the ones I wound up paying for at a hundred bucks a set?

They're the wrong mats.

They're for an '08.

I did not install any clips or hooks or anything, thank goodness. But I did use them for a while, just tossed in there. And I threw one the of the boxes away. The invoice the parts guy at the dealer gave me has the correct part number on them, but the box does not and the the mat does not have the correct Fit logo on them, nor do they fit quite right.

I thought it was just not a great design and I was kinda bummed that they didnt seem tailored to the car. Now I see they're the wrong ones and I now have to go back to the dealer and tell them to give me the correct ones. Which of course will probably be on backorder.

Darn.

EDIT: A STORY WITH A HAPPY ENDING, YAY!: I went back to the showroom. They called Parts. I went to Parts. They said "The '09's a different car?" uh, yeah. "OK, go see the MakeReady department. Bring this invoice. They'll give you the right mats, I've got 4-5 in stock. Then bring back the wrong ones tomorrow, just clean them if they're dirty, please?".

Sure thing! Got a set for each our '09 Fits. The new mats fit the Fit perfectly.
