Struts...any dealer parts people here?

I am growing tired of the harsh ride on our 09 Fit Sport. I am wondering if the base car actually has a different spring and strut than the Sport. If so, I'll consider ordering the base springs and struts for my car and sell the sport units on eBay or something. Love the car, hate the poor ride quality. Heck, I have Koni sport struts on my VW and it still has a far better ride quality. Anyway, not to start a debate on the ride quality of the Fit here, everyone has an opinion and mine isn't going to change in that I think my Fit rides like something that rhymes with Fit. I just want to know if the base and sport springs and struts are indeed different parts. Thanks if anyone can clarify this. Appreciated.

The dealer told me the suspension was the same for the sport and the base. And about the ride quality, I agree, I had a full KW coilover suspension dumped on a 2002 vw gti, and it rode better. It's not that the fit is firm, its that it has no rebound cushion on big bumps; it reminds me of a truck. But I'm used to lowered cars so it doesn't bother me.

I agree with you about the rebound damping. Poor. I think the Fit is oversprung, with too much compression damping and way,way too little rebound damping.

Thanks for the info.

Anyone with inside access to honda parts that can confirm the parts are the same?

while sort of on the same subject.

What were the most comfortable coil overs for the GD fits? not much out for the GE8 so I wont ask that
Any you could also adjust up sort of close to stock height for winters?
