Will 194's fit dome light on 09?
 

Hey guys I just ordered about 6 194 lights for my 09 Fit. Plan was to use 2 for the license plate lights, one for the cargo light, one for the dome light and one for the map light. After looking around I dont think the 194's will fit the map and dome lights. Can anyone confirm this? Also what lights would you need to change the dome and map lights and how would you go about changing them? Also how do you change the bulb in the cargo light? Looked around it but cant figure it out. Thanks in advanced.:wavey:

The cargo light can be changed by gently prying the light fixture out of its socket. Use a small flat screwdriver on the short end of the fixture, closer to the drivers side. There is a small tab that will accommodate the business end of said screwdriver. It will pop out, with bulb and wiring harness intact. Gently catch it and insert your new bulb, and pop back in.

The dome light is the tube style bulb, and I'm 90% certain the map lights are too. On the dome there is a tab where u can pry off the cover in similar fashion to the cargo light. I have not yet changed my map lights, but I presume its a similar method. Just find the tab to pry the cover off and you should be in business.

If you should find urself with excess 194 bulbs, you could consider selling off to fellow members, ebay, or putting to in your headlight houses in replacement if the 2 little orange ones (parking lights).

Appreciate the help guys. License plate lights look awesome. Cargo light doesn't, its much darker but it does give it a nice cool white glow.

I have some LEDS bulbs lights that will fit the dome light area if you are interested.

The dome (and map I believe) lights are DE3175, 31mm in length. I recently bought a blue LED module to put in (see eBay Motors: JDM Blue DE3175 LED Dome Lights Acura Integra RSX TypeS (item 140290696640 end time Feb-20-09 19:03:08 PST)) and have to say that, while not the brightest, the blue contrasts very well with my Orange Revolution :). I didn't want a bright light anyway (with the OEM bulb I had turned off the dome light because it kept wrecking my night vision going in/out of the car), so it was perfect for me :)
