Love my Fit but what's with the horn?
Seriously, the Fit is meticulously engineereed and crafted down to the last, most minor detail and it shows. So I can't understand why the horn is so weak and whimpy sounding. It sounds like the horn that would have been on a Model T circa 1926.
I have two honks - "the heads up" and "the punitive honk." The Fit cannot convincingly do either. |
I replaced mine with an 2009 Accord Horn. Just search, there are a few options for getting rid of the "meep meep". :)

im not a jackass so i dont use my horn often. maybe 3 times in almost 2 years of ownership

If you'd like more than a single note Accord horn, try Fiamm El Grandes. Expensive European sound and louder. It's a great cheap mod that's really effective. It may have saved my car from collisions a few times already.

I guess being safe makes me a jackass? http://smiliesftw.com/x/thebirdman.gif |
I was behind someone at a green light for a good 30 seconds. I was afraid to honk. I did anyway though, but it was a real quick one lol

I put a pair of Impreza horns on mine. The WRX and STi folks are always changing them out and it is easy to pick up a pair cheap. Before I changed to Subie horns, deer would just look at me when I honked -- now they jump! Me likee. :vtec:

That was my first mod, lol.
