thanks, but i got a navi.... is it different?

I recently did my JDM hazard and I got a Navi as well.

It took me a few minutes to find that screw, you will need a long phillips screw driver, or a ratchet with a long extension. Once that screw comes out there is a slot on the top glove box place a flat screw driver wrapped in tape in there and pull out, work out the clips with panel removal tools or a taped screwdriver and it slides right out quite easily.

Read BakedCookies thread it has some useful info. https://www.fitfreak.net/forums/2nd-...first-mod.html

Also btw, to remove the headunit you only have to do two steps, unlike what college hills shows for installing the USB hookup.

1. Remove panel directly below the fresh air/recirc lever, then look up in hole, you will see a circle cutout in the assembly and a screw in there, remove with philips screwdriver.

2. Open top glove box and using a thin flatblade screwdriver (I taped mine with painters tape and the area i was working in) insert it in the slot that's located in the upper right hand side of the head unit assembly. I had to push it in fairly far and then pry up and outward. Eventually a few clips will pop free where you can get your hand behind it and remove the headunit.

You can then unhook the connector to the hazard switch and remove the 2 philips screws securing it, you do not need to unhook any of the headunit wiring. There is plenty of room to work. Install new switch and test, reverse removal steps and you're done.

*Note: the face of the top HVAC vents will come out with the headunit.
