I learned something new!
Even after owning my Fit for 6 months, I recently learned 2 new things about my '09 Fit Sport:
1. The gas cap can be stowed on the gas door during fueling so it doesn't dangle down against the side of the car. (I feel really stupid about just finding this one!) http://img29.imageshack.us/img29/1278/gasdoor.th.jpg 2. There are 2 holes in the hood to put the hood holder upper stick thingy in - one near the front and one back by the windshield which gives you a TON of room to work on stuff. This stand the hood straight up and down! http://img29.imageshack.us/img29/9317/09fithood.th.jpg What cool things have you discovered lately? |
i knew about #1... i saw an attendant do it ( i dont pump my own gas;)) but not the second... thats sweet!
|
i know about both.
i found out about the 2nd when i was lowering my car. it's all in my DIY. i even show a pic of it there also. both are great features. |
I didn't know about #1, that's pretty cool.

hmm #1 wasn't in the manual? if you guys just found one or more of those things out, you might not know this one:
when your hatch is open and you want to close it, instead of reaching up and grabbing the exterior of the hatch (scratching the gathered dirt and dust into your paint), there is a "handle" on the interior panel right about where your hand would be if you were right-handed and reaching up from the center to grab the hatch. you can see it at the top of this pic i googled http://misterauto.us/cocoa-beach-car...en-view-lg.jpg |

i had a one-on-one session with my Fit when i received my plates 3 weeks after my purchased.
I found these things you pointed out and some that i wouldn't have known... there is more to our fits :). |
Nice observation man...lol

#1 Every car I've ever had did this....
The tsx is really weird because it has a little nub the fits in a slot on the gas door. (ps...I hope you guys/gals that didn't know about this weren't letting the gas cap hang touching your paint :( . Me being a detailer on the side...this is just asking for scratch heaven.) #2 Saw this on the DIY Lower your fit...by Niko 3257. The best little trick I've found was posted by CrystalFiveMT... on how to reprogram your doors locking. Simply marvelous! https://www.fitfreak.net/forums/2nd-...rs-please.html |
