what's the click click click sound coming from the central vent?

the sound usually happens shortly after turning on the AC.

today it was really loud.

then when i drove the car later in the day, i heard nothing.

i used to think it was contracting plastic as the hot plastic cooled rapidly but it obviously isnt that... although it's my impression that it happens most frequently when the car is really hot and the AC has just been turned on.

you should bring it to the shop.. don't want to risk anything happening right?

i remember more than one person commenting on it before. it seems to come and go. i have no idea if it's a sign of something which is about to fail, or just one of the handful of extra noises that come standard on the fit. lol

Mine started doing that and the next thing I know the AC resistor blew. Got it replaced but still hear that sound. I'll have to take it back and have them look at it again.

interesting. maybe it's unrelated to the resistor... i guess i'll soon find out, although ive been hearing the noise for months.
