Doubt if I'll get any for the rear; don't think Dreamer (the Poodle) needs them all that much..

Hey whatever works for you. I also did not get any floor mats for the back because I rarely drive anyone around in the back. I was just trying to stress that even though $100 sounds like a lot, I will most likely never have to buy any more floor mats again for my Fit because those floor mats rule and will withstand anything.

Picking up my '10 SSM Sport today! I was hoping to get it a couple of days ago, but scheduling issues prevented that. Like Justyna, I'm going to put Weathertech Digitalfit mats in it, but unlike her, my boyfriend won't be getting them for me. Come to think of it, I don't have a boyfriend....my wife probably wouldn't approve anyway.

Haha if it wasn't for him I wouldn't know about the weathertech mats. He had them for his Ford truck and he's also waiting for wearhertech to make the digitalfit mats for the Honda Element he just bought. Best mats out there no doubt!

Hi, I am currently a Civic owner. Has anyone here gone from a Civic to a Fit? If so, any complaints in regard to a noticeable difference in power/luxury, etc. that would make you want to go back to a Civic? I'm trying to decide if having the sporty convenience of the Fit vs. the more plush features of the Civic is worth it. They both have their merits, but I'm leaning toward the Fit. I took a sport model for a test drive and it was really fun to drive! Any thoughts?

How old are you? Because if you're an older person the Fit's shorter seat cushions might bother you some, and I suspect the Civic's seat cushions are probably more supportive, more comfortable. But you can't find this out in a test drive (as I ruefully discovered,) because it usually takes an hour or two for any discomfit to set in!

I like everything about my 2010 Fit and it's exceptional handling and cargo capacity, everything except for those *&$^$ too-short seats. I've got a corrective cushion on order; hopefully that will fix things..? 'Course I'm a bit up there in years, with arithritis, so that makes a difference also. If you're younger it might not make any difference at all to you...

I have a 2007 civic si and a 2010 manual sport. When you say civic do you mean just a regular civic or the "si"? Compared to a normal civic, I would say my fit is the greatest thing on earth. But compared to "si", the power isn't even close. Theres not really much to compare at all since how a car looks to you is totally up to you. I always liked how the fit looks compared to a civic. I would have liked having steering wheel volume control on Fits without navi, the si has it and it just completes the steering wheel. Only complaint about the fit is that I feel like i'm sitting alot higher up. The civic seats can be raised and lowered slightly.

Thank you Chazzlee for the response. I will take a longer ride in the Fit and see if I notice the seats now that you have pointed that out. Your correct that it is hard to get an accurate picture of things in a short test drive. Overall, it is a neat little car, but it doesn't hurt to get info from people that have one is my theory. Thanks again.

I currently have an 08 Civic EX, which is a nice car. However, I see them everywhere and am looking for something a little sportier and more versatile which led me to the Fit. I love the way the seats fold up/down in the Fit. I didn't see a big power difference between the EX and the Fit, but it is hard to get a real "feel" on a short test drive. Thanks for pointing out the steering wheel control feature issue. I drive in heavy traffic and use that feature on the Civic. Something to consider.

Nice color!!! I just picked mine up yesterday. Mine is a MT, but other than that, they look identical.

I managed to sneak in my first mod, a leather shift knob that used to live in my Si. I also found a place to stick the ScanGauge.

I've got Weathertech mats coming and hope to get them soon as there's no protection for the carpeting at the moment.

Another New Stormy Honda Owner

Hey all, after a looong odyssey of thinking and what all, finally pulled the trigger on a Storm Silver Sport/no nav Fit. Picking it up tomorrow- Dec 1. I am a double bass player and have to take my bass to every new car buying experience. The Bass actually fits in the Fit better than it does in my 01 Mazda Tribute. I loved the Car and Driver quote- Amazing Space How Sweet Thou Art. Let you know how it all turns out, but I found my best northeastern Ohio deal through the dealer in Medina. Great sales experience. Have to love the Honda 2.9 financing and the government tax credit on a new car! So this is my first Honda since my 76 Civic CVCC 5 speed. This one seems luxurious by comparison, and I've gotten good and lazy, bought the slushbox. No more rowing the gears!

Taffeta White Sport

Well, my saga is well-documented in another thread on this forum but I guess I should go on the record here--as I just became a new, first-time Fit owner. I picked up my Fit Sport yesterday. Drove it home 50 miles in the rain (half highway/half country roads). Most fun I've had driving a car in a while. Looking forward to many more fun miles of driving. Not planning any mods except for the screen for the AC condenser...maybe do something to protect the fog lights too.

Blackberry Pearl Sport

Hi all,

I'm new to the boards, and I have a new 2010 Fit! I picked it up yesterday (12/3). It was rather a sudden decision to buy one, we were in the market for a used Matrix and decided to spend a little more to avoid "someone else's problem." It took all of 3 days between making that decision and driving the new car home. Anyway, it's a Blackberry Pearl Auto Sport. I'm ordering mats today, since winter has finally arrived in MN

Congrats on your purchase. I've compared my '09 Fit Sport MT (blue sensation pearl) to my brother's Matrix and prefer the Fit hands down. The Matrix seems to have no more room inside than the Fit, and the extra horsepower of the Matrix is usurped by the need to haul the extra weight (vs. the Fit) around. This results in the Matrix getting about the same acceleration as a Sport MT--- but at the cost of more fuel.

As for reliability, I now have over 55,000 kms (about 33,000 miles) on my '09 Fit. (identical to the '10). The only issues so far (and only very recently) have been a faulty 12V auxilliary power plug and coolant temperature sensor, both of which were replaced under warranty. Other than that it's been rock solid. I'm sure you'll be happy with your new wheels.

Thanks! I feel like I joined a very happy club here.

The Matrix does have a few more features than the Fit, and the ride is a little less...bumpy But this is just an around-town car for me...we already have a CR-V as a "road trip" and "take me to work on the unplowed streets" car. And honestly, the Fit is just more fun to drive!
