HID's ?
 

Hello.. Bought my '09 fit spot MT a month ago, and now deciding on a few after market parts. One of the main ones is a good set of HID's and I figure you guys would be the people to know. Suggestions would be great, as well as a pair of tailights also. Thanks!

If u wanna spend not to much on hid try gothid.com or sparkhid.com I try these and they were really good now I got ignitedperformace.com I think that's how u spell it and they are good also but expensive hope this helps by the way am a hid freak lol went threw so many

and how do I figure out which HID kit to purchase from the ignited site? or are they all universal , im new the customizing of cars. First honda ive owned, before this I had a Jeep hah

For 09 fit the headlight bulb is 9003 or they are also called hb2 both the same and I would get bi which is hi and low beams and just pick your color temp I got 8000k light blue and as for fog lights the bulb number is h11 and it should be single low beam and I got 3000k for that jdm yellow color

I've had good experiences with ddmtuning they have the Raptor kit that goes for $40 with a year warranty or their ddm brand for $65 for the 35w or the 55w for $15 extra both with lifetime warranty . From what I've seen the whitest white is 6k everything above is just color:confused: I've got both on my truck (Raptors on high's and fogs and their brand for my lows) never had any problems.

Yessirr! I love my DDM HIDs, Easiest install ever!! I am going to install it for my friend while he installs my jdm tails :D He also ordered it from DDM.

Sounds great, I would much rather spend less since i'm getting both Headlights and fog lights. But from DDM, which one do I get for my fit? Also, do they have the hi/low beam bulb kits or do you have to buy them seperatley. thanks!

You can't buy them separately for the fit as there is only space for one headlight bulb.. In order to keep your high beams you'll need bikenon. My friend has a set of regular xenon bulbs in his truck and doesn't have a high beam any more but his lows are bright enough.

Hmmm okay, well I guess ill do some more research. I want the 6K bi-xenon headlights and 3K foglamps, any help would be much appreciated. And why are some hid kits soo much more than others does it really differ in quality?

For the Fit your looking at getting H4's. On ddmtuning's website you have the option of getting just the single output meaning low's or the dual output lows/highs for $25 more.So say you get their Raptor's, if you get the optional high/low it will cost you $65 with a year warranty. If you are worried about price they have lifetime warranty on their own brand so bulb or ballast goes bad, they'll exchange it, you cant lose.

H11 for fog lights.

Get 35W for the fogs, the 55w can melt the housings. DDM HID's are a great buy and the lifetime warrenty you can't beat for the price.

There's an argument to be made that there's no such thing as a "good" HID kit for the Fit.

Basically what that guy is trying to say is that
1. The kits that you find online aren't actually the high end brand name that they claim they are.
2. hid's are intended to be used with projector lenses. If you're not using a proper projector lense its going to be a blinding beam og light.. And not in a good way.

Although they're not completely the brand they claim it doesn't mean that they are crappy quality.. I know tons of people w ebay hid's that have never had a problem with them.


Pretty much if people are vouching for a kit.. Especially one with a lifetime warranty.

This is my FIT Sport AT/NAV. I have HID both headlights and fog lights. My headlights maintain Hi/Lo and DRL. Both of them are 6000K HID. I paid $115 for headligh kit and $62 for fog light kit.

thanks for all the info guys , i really appreciate it. I do like the 6k for both fog and headlights. But I thought that with HID's , you aren't supposed to have DRL on because it can blow the bulbs pretty easily? Anyways, i'm probably going to get DDM and see how they work out. Thanks!

Relay
 

My HID kit came with relay harness. It takes power directly from battery. It gets full 14V, not 9V pluse from DRL. DRL just triggers the relay.
