Roof lining
I washed and waxed my car today and noticed that the roof lining was getting a very dirty because I like to drive with the window open a lot.
Anyway, I vacuumed the dust off it, but it needs some kind of cleaner. Any safe ways of cleaning this back to showroom condition? There are no stains, it's just dirty. |
Have you tried Turtle Wax's carpet cleaner or upholstery cleaner? It should come in a spray bottle with a stiff brush integrated on the cap.
Haven't used it myself yet but friends have good feedback for it. :) |
Today I tried to clean the roof lining with an expensive carpet and upholstery cleaner, but it dried patchy.
In the end, I put some lemon washing up liquid in a bucket and rubbed it evenly with a soft slightly damp spunge. Guess what? It dried clean and in showroom condition. I also cleaned my seat belt fasteners and plastic pillers. I finished everything off with a plastic cleaner. One year of dirt Gone thanks to cheap lemon washing up liquid. Whatever you do. Don't look at your roof lining or surrounding plastic, it's suprising how dirty it gets in a year and always gets disgarded when cleaning. |
