I'm Official!

I drove off the lot in my 2010 Honda Fit Sport. BBP color. MS M/T. :hyper:
12 miles on it
I'm in love.
17,700 was the price.
Waiting on my Mugen grill, quick shifter, shift knob, and floor mats to come in (tuesday)
and my honda sport m/t pedals (also tuesday)

Drives like a dream. I cant wait to finish all the mods planned.
After the factory stuff comes in, I will be adding the tanabe touring medallion exhaust, eibach springs (unless i can get those RS-R's faster), and some JDP carbon goods.

I will post pics as soon as the first parts i ordered are in and installed. Thanks ahead of time for the welcome.:D

Congratulations on the new car!

I checked out that guide and saw an interesting product:

What exactly does that stuff do? Remove aircraft? lol.

If you're gonna go with the JDP carbon stuff, you mind as well spend the extra cash to get the mugen stuff :P I think it's sooooo much nicer, and you won't regret it, like the friends i know who got the JDP carbon stuff.

Congrads on your new Fit. Can't wait to see pictures and all the mods you have coming.

yeah right, JDP makes the strongest, highest quality lip I have ever owned. and I have owned quite a few. It's good stuff!

I plan to get his wing and grill in FRP and paint match it soon.

Congrats on your purchase. Where's the pictures? Post anyways to show its transformation from stock to modded. Sure we have all seen stock Fits at one time and some of us still look at a stock Fit each day they go out to their car.

Congrats, you got my favorite color for the Fit. Heck, don't wait until you mod it, post pictures now. I would love to see your car after a nice car wash in the sun. That BBP color just kills me, it's such an amazing color. I love the way it changes colors under different lighting, one minute it looks black, the next it looks a deep blue, then purple at times.

Good choice on transmission too. Manual transmission Fits are becoming as rare as Big Foot sightings these days, and they are no longer even offered with the navi option.

Well, do to popular demand, ill shoot some pictures tomorrow. haha. and about the other mugen parts, idk...I think the JDP looks sick, and its super light weight. I can get the lip, wing, and rear diffuser forthe price of just the mugen side skirts. I think that sounds like a better deal imho.

and the remover is a paint stripper im pretty sure.

The stuff is awesome, used to use it when I was an aircraft mechanic. We'd use it to remove the paint of the engines after we pulled it for rebuild (recips). Water soluable, works great. Hurts like HELL if you get it on your skin though...

I never said it wasn't strong or anything :p

I just know of several people buying the JDP stuff, then seeing a mugen fit, and saying "why the hell did I not buy the mugen kit to begin with...?"

If money's an issue, or you just want the carbon fiber look, go for the JDP goodies. It's all personal preference, and I'm just giving my personal opinion :)

0r30kid Feb 8, 2010 05:14 PM

Well, that mugen body kit wasn't really because i liked it more than the JDP. I would rather have the JDP stuff. I only wanted the mugen lip anyway. I decided to take before and after pics when my parts come in. I have two midterms to write, so washing my car and taking photos isn't top priority on my list right now :)

The first thing my girlfriend said when she saw it was "babe, it's purple!" and not in a good way. I love the color, and congrats man.

0r30kid Feb 8, 2010 05:58 PM

Yea, idk, I liked the color and I figured it would stand out more than if I got the white, blue, or black that I always seem to see around. ( no offense to anyone with those colors. They still look great :) )
I think that the BBP will be like midori green on the old civic hatches.

MNfit Feb 8, 2010 06:38 PM

Congrats on the new car, alos be careful with that aircraft striper. Its very strong stuff and very flammable. I heard of a guy accidently burning his garage down when using this stuff

0r30kid Feb 8, 2010 07:21 PM

Thank MNfit. And yea, i know to be extremely careful. My friends and i have used it before. But thank you for the advice. It would suck burning down my garage, considering i rent it.haha
