Door Locks

Bought a 2009 base Fit 8 months ago. Didn't think it would matter much at the time but my wife and I are bemoaning the lack of a door lock switch on the passenger side arm rest. Have to go around to the driver side door to unlock all the doors. Really annoying. Is the Sport option the only way to get the desired functionality? Can it be added by the dealer even though I only have the "base" model? Thanks.

there is only one unlock button on the two front
doors. and that is on the drivers side.
in the sport you would have to use the keyless
entry to do what she wants. give her your 2nd
key.

Add keyless entry: https://www.fitfreak.net/forums/2nd-generation-ge-08-present/39530-keyless-entry-base-model.html

Your wife must have NEVER the opportunity … lock you in the car……
Unlocking the doors, its driver's job!!:p

Or be a Gentleman and unlock her door first, then walk around to your own side.

I'm not sure without looking at the manual but I think if you unlock the driver's side door once, it does your door, if you turn it twice, it unlocks all doors. (This is the way it was on my integra and my wife's 98 civic EX).

I still walked around and opened the door for my wife.

Wow! What a concept! And it actually works!! :rotfl: Thanks for the tip. I suppose, though, that this would have been something I could have read in the user manual. But, hey, old geezers don't think they need to read the manual.

Thanks again.
