At 6'5'' The whole front 1/3 of the interior is a blind spot. I've adapted to triple checking everything before making a move.

Yep pretty much all the new cars have issues this way.. I rent all the time and since they started putting the air bags in the front pillars and upped the rollover testing...

My dad has a full size 4 door dodge diesel longbed. Has almost the same a-pillar blind spot as the fit. Same with sentras, dodge mini vans.. My 94 jeep wrangler the a-pillar wouldn't hide a stick bug..

Every day that I drive to work, there is a place where the road curves left leading up to a stop sign with pedestrian right-of-way. The A-pillar blocks my view of pedestrians crossing from the left for a good hundred feet or so prior to stopping, and I've had a couple of near-misses. At least the fact that there is a stop sign there helps.

The vast majority of days nobody is crossing at this intersection, so I'll go months and months without worrying or thinking about it, and then one day I'll get surprised (once again) to find somebody walking in front of my car as I start to accelerate out of the stop. Usually I shift my head from side to side to check, but those long periods with no incident make it easy to get out of this habit.
