VSA retrofit... maybe

If you look at Honda Parts and Honda Accessories from Bernardi Parts - Bernardi Honda Parts and Accessories and dig down to Chassis parts for the Fit... you'll see that the VSA module takes the place of the ABS module.

Everything in the brake pipe diagram is the same (abs vs vsa), except for a few bends where it connects to the module. Not having looked that closely in the engine bay, I don't know if the brake lines are rubber or metal tubes. If they are rubber, I think you can swap it in. But, remembering the work my friend did on his car regarding brakes, I'm guessing not. It "only" costs about $44, but if it is metal tubing, it's going to require some serious install effort.

The real issue though, does the ECU need to be reprogrammed? Or is all of the programming in the VSA module?

"MODULATOR ASSY., VSA (REWRITABLE)(COO)" <-- costs about $952.

If you believe Bernardi's parts lists, even the Base model 2011 Fit will have VSA.

You also need the steering angle sensor ( which may come on all trims, I'm not sure), and a yaw sensor which I can't find on the site :(.

Just found that link after doing a search for the sensor.

Blah... not as cost effective as I had hoped. Getting junkyard parts might be cheaper, if I knew where the nearest one was (plus, not a big fan of "used")... but as that topic goes into the electrical wiring harness... sigh... I guess not.
