Oh, so you did get the RS one that looks nice and stock-like. Yeah, I'd love to see some pics and hear sound clips!

Has megan gotten better, quality wise, over the past couple of years? I know when we were installing megan cat backs on nissans some 3-4 years ago, they were pretty poor qualiy(ebay brand) and would rust pretty quickly while sounding poorly due to their muffler choices.

I just installed the oe-rs axle back and it makes a knocking noise over bumps(metal on metal). Everything is installed correctly, wondering if the hanger is bent alittle.

I'll post up my thoughts on Megan, even though the OP already went ahead and got one. When I had my shop, we saw Megan start popping up on eBay, and purchased a test pipe and a cat-back exhaust from them for the shop EP. They both had some SHIT welds (looked like a first grader finger painting), and the "stainless" steel started rusting within 6 months. The muffler was packed with cotton-based sound damping material, and within 6 months, also was junk. Not a good first impression.

Fast forward to the now- got a test pipe and muffler of theirs for a customer's Civic a few weeks ago, and the welds were much improved. Fitment was alright, but still felt cheap. The muffler sounds alright, but I didn't see anything that led me to feel that it's going to last.

Caveat emptor, as always, and you certainly get what you pay for. As others have said, for ~$100 (or $50 and beer, if it's a cool shop manager), you can have a muffler shop weld up a name-brand, QUALITY muffler under the Fit. If you don't like it, try again, and you can re-sell the other muffler for $30-40. Rinse, wash, and repeat. Increased piping size on the Fit really won't do much good, and will only serve to reduce what little backpressure there is in this system, reducing low-end torque. Exhaust on these is merely for style and sound, not so much for performance (ooh, aah- 1-4 WHP- you can make that up by turning off the A/C!), so go custom, save some $, and get the good stuff- Mark W.

to the person who posted about the metal on metal knocking noise, you have everything perfectly fine, thats what happens when you hear a shit exhaust system smacking your cars frame over evey bump, hopefully you bought it off someone who is reputable and you are still able to get a refund, the OE-RS IS PURE CRAP, MEGAN AS A COMPANY IS PURE CRAP, THEY KNOW THEY ARE CRAP, if it wasnt for me being smart and buying through ebay buyer protections, megan would have never refunded my money for their defective exhaust.........WANT MORE INFO PM ME, dont mean to rant, but seriously
