2008 fit sport dunlops make awful noise at 28000 miles over 45mph

After the winter i kept hearing a strange thudding thump sound from right front of 2008 honda fit sport but only over 45mph.Thought it was something loose under car and at my 30 thousand check up my mechanic found everything was in great shape. He aligned the car and took it out for a while and found the sound was coming from my Dunlop tires. He said he has heard this before and dunlops are a noisy tire.Tires otherwise are in okay shape. Will be replacing them after summer for perhaps yokahamas.
Has anyone else encountered this odd problem?
Cant hear a sound under 45 mph.

My OEM Bridgestones were really noisy, too. New ones are a little less noisy. I don't think Honda could have chosen worse tires if they tried.

Hope you don't ever blow a tire and have to find one in stock. You'll be worried about noise in the motel room while you wait for a tire to be delivered to whatever tire store you find.

Cheers.

That's not normal- something's wrong. Suggest you replace the tire before it fails at highway speed. Could be a shifted or broken belt.

Take your front right wheel out, and slowly rotate it on the ground (like just roll it) and have your eye focus on the tire surface. I suspect your tire has a "bubble", and need replace.

Excessive tire noise can also cause by uneven tire wear. Once that uneven wear happened, there is nothing you can do but to replace it if you want to get rid of the noise.

Does your steering wheel shakes a little bit or small vibration when you drive on highway?
