Im assuming you meant the short ram air intake? I have it, and its quality. easy install (easiest to remove the battery, but you dont have to) no CEL either which is a plus. cabin/engine noise is higher, but doesnt affect conversations with passengers or anything. Powerband is a bit smoother, but there isnt really any huge gain, just a few hp i believe. As far as mpg, maybe a couple increase. I actually lost mpg at first because i keep winding it all the way....because vtec sounds so niiiice :vtec:

We have it on our GE. It's quality, like everything K&N makes, but adds a lot of intake roar, which gets tiresome in hills. It also serves to remind you how slow the car really is, when it makes the car sound like it should be going fast, but really isn't going anywhere. I can't say anything about power- maybe 1-3 WHP- not really enough to notice. As for fuel economy, it really did help a little. As long as you stay out of it, we're getting 38-40 MPG with out little 5-speed driving in hills, and that's driving the snot out of it on backroads fairly often :) Mark W.

As for installation, remove the cowl. It takes all of two minutes, and saves you more time than that, and scraped knuckles. Also, the installation instructions fail to mention a catch can for spilled coolant- have something handy. You will lose SOME coolant to spillage, so having a spare gallon (you won't need more than a bit) would also be wise- Mark W.
