TPMS question on tire replacement

Well I ran over a freaking nail today and it went through the sidewall also so it appears it's new tire time.

My question is, the dealer is an hour and a half of interstate driving away and I don't want to drive the Fit on a spare tire on a road that people drive 90mph on when i don't feel comfortable driving more than 55, if they just replace the tire it wont mess the TPMS up to where they need the car will it?

No. It may take a few miles after the wheel is re-installed (the one having the tire replaced) for the TPMS to send a signal and the light goes out.

Assuming the TPMS sender at the wheel isn't damaged. If they have to replace it then they need the car to register the new sender.
