Honda Salesman Rags on New Fit (video)

Fenton Honda of Ardmore 2012 Fit Sport Test Drive.mp4 - YouTube

It looks like he hits 6300 rpm or so. I'd be PISSED if that was my car!

If you only knew what the longshoremen and port processors did to your car before you got it.

I guess they are smart enough not to post video? LOL

Ok, He doesn't know wtf he is talking about at all. Downshifting to bring the rpms down to get more torque? Wtf? The car has 7 miles on it and he's going almost to redline. Obviously speeding in a dealership vehicle. You can hear him say "down to 29" I'm guessing the AVG MPG's went down from him trying to gun it.

Ugh. I hate salesmen/women that don't know anything.. God bless the poor soul that buys that car.

Idiot didn't wear his seatbelt! I'm sure some local cop could bust the guy's chops given the video and ticket him. :popc:

When I bought my first new car the salesman brought the car up and nailed it and slammed on the brakes. I said WTF and he said they always do that and it seals the rings. I did not have a problem with the engine but had problems with the trans and brakes. The salesman was a friend.

That was many, many years ago. I am more careful where I buy cars. It was a Chevy, so that could explain it.

What gets me is do they think this is good advertising? Come on in and we will break the car for you so you can bring it back in for service.

Santiad 10-17-2011 10:30 AM

doesnt the 12 have the same suspension as the 09?

salesman states its a much smoother ride than years before....hopefully he is referring to the GD3.

Vash 10-17-2011 11:59 AM

ehhh typical salesman speach to me... his only real mess up was the RPM lowers, it actually gets higher when you drop a gear.

I actually drive my car like that all the time, even on the first day. man automatic seems so nice.. sometimes i regret getting a manual.

Stevens24 10-17-2011 12:05 PM

Like every profession some people get it some never will. I sold Honda for 9 -10 years, most of us knew what we were doing. When I purchased my GD though I took it the moment it was at the end of the truck ramp, washed the protectant off my self, drove it to the bay for PDI, And did the test drive my self. Only one other person has driven my car.

If you are offended by how salesmen drive them, imagine the porters and detailers that see the same cars come in and out of the dealership everyday and could care less about your car's "feelings"

sooznd 10-17-2011 12:51 PM

the car is running on empty-- would have been funny if he ran out of gas.
