+25 offset, will it work?
Just a quick one, girls and boys. Will a +25 work on our GE8? Or is that too aggressive of a fitment? Just wondering. Thanks.

Width? Diameter?
Specs: 15x8. +25 offset.
it also depends on whether you are low, also whether you are planning on doing any fender rolling/pulling. I am dumped on 17x9 +35. and had to do plenty of fender work. but at a stock height, or maybe even a mild drop, i dont believe you would have many problems with those.
Nope. Not lowered or anything. Gonna buy Bilstein PSS Coilovers when they're available. They're on back order until late September. I might just get the wheels and store them in the garage.
Thanks for the helps ya'all! |
just curious, what wheels?
Axis OG. :P I'll partially trade my white LS webs.
I had 15X8 +25 offset w/ 195-50-15 tires dropped on Teins 1.4" drop and I had a like 2" gap, NO RUBBING AT ALL
Got any pictures?
That sounds like a bad idea w/o fender mods.
Ehhhh. Now that I've had some consideration, maybe it's not worth the trade. I think I'm just going to pass on the Axis OG's and just restore the BBS Basketweaves/Euroweaves I have in the garage. That set has +41 Offset. Much better. Plus they've already got good tires. 205/55/15. Super beefy. :)
I was going to trade my white LS webs along with cash, but I'll keep my webs for a possible winter set up.
if youre not gonna lower the car, dont get 15x8 +25. its gonna look retarded with the massive gap and mexipoke. stay with a 16 30-45 offset.
Just ordered my Bilstein coilovers yesterday. No turning back now. :rotfl: Gonna have to see how much clearance the Basketweaves will give. Can't wait.
Glad you kept the BBS, Bilstiens don't go that low, you'll be just fine. Tire size is even good for the speedo, within 2% of stock, so good for you :)
I would never give those BBS's away. 15 inch weaves are hard to come by. And I got it for a steal price. Plus, about a good percentage of Honda's I see has Axis wheels. Not too original. :p
And yeah, I know the Bilsteins don't go that low. I'm more in it for comfort and reliability. With Seattle's roads, going 'dumped' isn't such a good idea. I'll have some pictures up when I get my setup done. :) |
I'd worry more about the 8" part than the offset. 7" + anthing below 35 is gonna look, well....

Camber is the first thing you should attack. Example:
That car is retarded.
Do what you want, it's your car and make it something you will enjoy. However, I personally think that a 7" and offset between +35-50 looks the most natural and causes the least problems. I'm running a +40 and still have to run 1.2 degrees of -camber. |

So that's what my setup will be by September. |
