Installing a new horn - how much do I need to remove???

Just poking around this afternoon (no time to do anything). I got an Accord horn, but I'm not sure how much of the front end I have to remove to get at the horn. I popped some of the pop fasteners out, and getting the upper plastic piece and the grill looks easy enough, but is that going to be enough to get me access to the horn? Please tell me I don't have to take the bumper off!

what year do u have? GE's don't need to remove the bumper. The horn is accessible by only removing the upper plastic piece.

To make it easy you might want to remove the grill, bumper, both fenders, and maybe the radiator to get behind the radiator support.

2010 base. I'm assuming kgb4187 is having us on... I sure as hell hope so anyway, 'cause otherwise my weenie little stock Fit horn is gonna stay just like it is....

well... I removed:

grille cover (7 push pins, be aware that 2 are different from the other 5)
latch cover (two bolts)

And that's it to get to the horn.

you can remove the upper grille itself to make working on the horn a little easier... but honestly, I think that's more work than it is worth.

On the flipside... once you know exactly where the bolt holding the stock horn is... you don't need to remove the latch cover, assuming you have dexterous hands/fingers. Though you will have to tug on it a bit (sometimes popping out the bottom portion of it).

7 push pins on the upper grill cover, remove that. then, remove the 2 phillips head screws on both sides of the grill (the one with the honda emblem on it), and the 4 push style pins inside the grill.
THis should allow you complete access to the horn and wires. Might be a bit overkill, but id rather have room, than be fighting with it. Have Hella supetones mounted in place of my Factory horn.

As stated above - it took me less than 30 minutes to get everything done.
